1. The Service is generated by software
Identifications, confidence figures, look-alike lists, edibility labels, report sections, recipes, claim checks and most descriptive text in the Service are produced by machine-learning models and large language models, in some cases without human review. Such output is probabilistic. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or confidently wrong. The same photograph can produce different results at different times or on different devices.

3. Foraging is dangerous; you assume the risk
Wild mushrooms can cause serious illness, organ failure and death. Some deadly species closely resemble edible ones, toxicity can vary with region, season, preparation and the individual, and symptoms can be delayed for days. By using the Service you acknowledge these risks and agree that any decision to collect, handle, prepare, sell, give away or consume a mushroom is yours alone, made at your own risk, and not in reliance on the Service.
4. Species data, photographs and third-party content
Species information is compiled from public sources including Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and photographs contributed to iNaturalist under Creative Commons licences. Edibility notes reflect common references for a typical adult and may not apply to you, to your region, or to look-alike species not covered by the Service. We do not verify third-party content and make no representation about its accuracy.
5. Market board and other users
The market board only lets users contact each other. SamLyd Holdings LLC is not a party to any exchange, sale or gift arranged through it, does not inspect anything offered, and makes no representation about any user, listing or mushroom. Anything you receive from another user is at your own risk. Content posted by users is their own and not endorsed by us.
6. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any identification is correct or that any mushroom is safe.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SamLyd Holdings LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, licensors and data providers will not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive, arising out of or in connection with the Service, its content, any identification or other output, any reliance on it, or any exchange arranged through the market board, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these exclusions; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SamLyd Holdings LLC from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your reliance on its output, anything you post, or any exchange you arrange through the market board.

Do not wait for symptoms and do not rely on the Service. Call your local emergency number or poison control at once. In the United States, Poison Control is 1-800-222-1222, free and available 24 hours. Keep any remaining mushroom, spores or photographs for the clinicians.
